Biochemistry/ Analytical Bioprocess Researcher

 

CURAXYS is a biopharmaceutical company devoted to the production therapeutical proteins to be used as biosimilars. The company is recruiting a researcher to be responsible to control the research process (intermediates and final product)  from cell culture to protein purification. The position is for a PhD degree with not more of one year of experience. 

Location: Curaxys facilities. Technological Park Tecnobahia, El Puerto de Santa María. Cadiz, Spain. 

Description: The researcher position is available at the Molecular Biology Department of Curaxys. The candidate has to suitable to be working under the covertures of the Torres-Quevedo Program, supported by the Spanish Science Minister (see below).  

Our research focuses on the characterization of the protein sequence elucidation, and genes related to the protein production, which has to be expressed in the described cellular system, protein gene expression and cDNA related.  

We offer a standard work contract, challenging scientific job position and educational program comprising training courses, seminar series, specialized workshops and ongoing assessment of progress and success of the research project, reporting directly to the Research Group Head. 

Qualifications: We are seeking for a highly motivated PhD candidate, who holds a M.Sc. or Diploma degree in any life sciences with a minimum average qualification 2.0, following the Spanish Science Minister criteria for scholarship applications. We are looking for a candidate with a proven experience in i) preparation of proteins extracts with enough quality to be used in proteomic studies, ii) 2-DE, iii) specific protein 2-DE gel stains, iv) MS analysis applied to protein identification, MALDI-TOF/TOF, IT, etc, v) Bioinformatics resources on proteomic approaches, gel analysis software, identification scores (Mascot), PTM characterization, etc. The candidate has to demonstrate fluent English skills, which will be a key issue.  

Salary details: Payment is according to the Spanish Chemistry & Pharmacy Work Framework.
